Welcome, stranger! Lets get acquainted!

So I've decided it was about time to stretch my wings and create myself a little site to call my own.

I'll be using this space to blog about my sewing and crafty projects both completed and in the works (and let's be honest, there's plenty of those 'in the works'!).

A little about the Mandy behind Mandy Sews:

I started sewing when I was a wee girl. My nana taught me how to sew, and I used those very premature skills to sew together stuffed toys.

I also took sewing class at high school where it was mandatory to do home-tech type classes (I also took cooking and agriculture - that's what happens when you live in a small country farm..AGRICULTURE!)

I not only sew, I also love crochet, knitting and cross stitching.

I taught myself to crochet from youtube, more specifically, how to Amigurumi! Check it out if you have the chance, it's a great beginner crochet technique that wields unbelievably cute things!

My nana taught me to knit and unfortunately I'm quite rusty at it.

I'm always on the look out for new sewing techniques, tips, tricks and anything to help me grow as a sewist. I'll be sure to post all the tips and tricks and useful things I find along my sewing journey, with you all.
